DtMF of Reynisfjara

DtMF of Reynisfjara

After Bad Bunny's halftime performance at the Super Bowl last weekend, most of the world understands the sentiment behind the singer's smash hit, "Debi tirar Mas Fotos", or DtMF. Today, all I can think is, I wish I had taken more photos at Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach in Iceland last year.

Take a photo, It'll last longer

Earlier this week, the iconic Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach in Iceland was forever changed by coastal erosion and a cliff collapse. I hosted a group trip to Iceland in December, so just weeks ago, I was taking selfies inside the basalt cave. Strong coastal winds and erosion have altered the beach, which is currently closed and devoid of its iconic black sand.

While the permanent damage to this natural wonder remains unknown, it's logical to assume that the next time I visit this beach, it won't look the same. That makes me regret not getting a group photo in the cave!

In the grand scheme of things, we never know how nature's plan will unfold. So it's best to be as present as you can, enjoy every moment, and take more photos.

See you next week!
